Plant Pathology graduate students Derreck Carter-House and Lindsey Pedroncelli completed a rigorous and competitive Certificate program and earned official Science to Policy (S2P) Certificates from UCR. Both were also presented with training certificates from the California State Assembly by the office of Assemblyman Jose Medina. See more here at the Science to Policy Website.

The S2P program selected top applicants and trained them on how to turn science into action by effectively communicating scientific research to policy makers and the general public through the media, Op-Eds/writing, direct conversations, and more.
