The Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology's weekly Plant Pathology 250 seminar series is presented this week by Gretchen Heimlich, Plant Pathology Graduate Student, UC Riverside. 

Seminar Title: "Soil Health, Root Health, and Citrus Huanglongbing"

Biography: Gretchen Heimlich is a third-year PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Caroline Roper. She came to plant pathology by way of bachelor’s degrees in Creative Writing and Photography and five years working as an arborist at Disneyland. Her research focuses on the role of soil and root health in citrus disease.
