Biagio DiSalvo, PLPA Graduate Student 

Seminar Title: “Specific Bacterial Grapevine Endophytes Reduce Disease Severity of Pierce's Disease of Grapevine”

Biography: Biagio is a third year PhD candidate in Dr. Caroline Roper's lab. His research focuses on mitigating Pierce's disease of grapevine by understanding how Xylella fastidiosa interacts with the grapevine endophytic microbiome, its host, and its abiotic environment.

Seminar Title: “The Southern Root-Knot Nematode, Meloidogyne incongita, affects bell pepper crop health: are there alternatives for its control?"

Biography: Francisco is a member of the Antoon Ploeg’s Lab (NematologyExtension and Research Lab). He is a third year PhD candidate and his research focuses on the control of root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne) on bell pepper by means of the alternative use of new nematicides and biological options.
