Congratulations to this years Microbiology and Plant Pathology Department Award Recipients:

- Andrea Vu (Plant Pathology Graduate Program)- recipient of the inaugural Peter and Pamela Tsao award.

 -Nichole Ginnan (Plant Pathology Graduate Program)- recipient of the 6th annual Edmond C. Calavan award.

 -Salma Alavi (Microbiology Graduate Program)- recipient of the inaugural Microbiology and Plant Pathology Student Award.

The awards were  presented  on April 4th in conjunction with the Student Invited Lectureship in the Genomics auditorium followed by a reception in the Genomics Lobby. This year's Student Invited Speaker was Dr. Mark Mazzola (USDA, ARS).
