The Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology's weekly Plant Pathology 250 seminar series is presented this week by:

Fabiola Pulido-Chavez, Plant Pathology Graduate Student, UC Riverside. 

Seminar Title: "Evaluating the robustness of soil microbial diversity patterns after a short freeze-thaw event."

Biography: Fabiola is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in the Glassman Lab, where she researches fungal and bacterial secondary succession, resilience, and  functional dynamics after chaparral wildfires.

Colin Todd, Plant Pathology Graduate Student, UC Riverside. 

Seminar Title: "Understanding the microbial dynamics of the young grapevine endosphere through the nursery production process in terms of disease and field outcomes."

Biography: Colin Todd is a third year PhD Candidate in Dr. Philippe Rolshuasen's Lab. His research focuses on improving disease management in grapevine by better understanding the dynamics of pathogenic and beneficial endophytic microbes throughout the grapevine production process.
