The Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology's weekly Plant Pathology 250 seminar series is presented this week by:

Fabiola Pulido-Chavez, PLPA Graduate Student 

Seminar Title: "Fine-scale temporal succession of soil microbial communities in California chaparral"

Biography: Fabiola Pulido is a third-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Sydney Glassman's lab. Her research focuses on understanding the effects of wildfire on the soil microbial communities of California chaparral and their successional dynamics.

Christopher Drozd, PLPA Graduate Student 

Seminar Title: "Does the early bird get the worm? Exploring priority effects in the Citrus bacteriome."

Biography: Christopher Drozd is a third-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Caroline Roper's lab. His research studies the microbial ecology of Huanglongbing, as well as potential microbiota-mediated solutions to this devastating disease.
